The mission of The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovation, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical, and distance education.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The principal duty of a Student Worker – Prospective Student Social Media is to contribute to the content development in the area of Social Media. The Student Worker – Prospective Student Experience will work under the supervision of the Marketing, Enrollment and Product Strategy Team to review, research, and create engaging social media content for the Prospective Student Experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research assigned content and topics
  • Review social media information and content, providing feedback where appropriate as it relates to engaging and attracting prospective students
  • Write and edit social media posts, maintain an appropriate tone, and check for grammatical and other errors.
  • Create social media content that aligns with Prospective Student Experience goals and objectives
  • Include testimonials, interviews, and other available content to demonstrate the qualities of a successful graduate student
  • Post in private, cohort-based social media accounts, delivering content to give prospective and new students more information about graduate level education at the University
  • Coordinate with marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all social media content
  • Report progress to direct manager

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • The successful candidate must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better on all coursework completed and be currently enrolled in a graduate level degree program (highly preferred, but not required for Working Scholars Program)
  • Individuals should be in good standing with the University and at least in the second term of study (exceptions may apply)
  • Must possess strong professional writing, editorial, and communication skills
  • Must be organized and capable of solving issues, responding to general questions and responding to routine requests for information.
  • Be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment, and demonstrate an understanding of the academic and professional experiences of students.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • The Student Worker should plan to commit up to 20 hours per week to this position

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
