Position Description
The mission of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovation, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical, and distance education.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for the support, development and integration of Salesforce solutions deployed within the USAHS technical stack. Working collaboratively within IT, this position must be able to develop, test, debug, migrate, maintain, document and support solutions implemented for our customers. In addition to creating new solutions, this position is responsible for providing application support to internal customers by troubleshooting operational issues and developing/implementing appropriate fixes to existing solutions, enabling continued usage to meet customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with vendors and external consultants to design, configure, test, and implement applications and modules.
- Provide cross-product and cross-technology expertise to capability teams, offering input on solution design and best practices.
- Identify interfaces required for SIS with other IT systems and collaborate with support teams to design, configure, and test these interfaces.
- Assess and maintain the current Salesforce environment and develop solutions to remediate Salesforce health and security issues using Salesforce-provided tools.
- Coordinate new software releases, production fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users.
- Recommend new features or changes to configurations and workflows.
- Provide code review and oversight to Salesforce developers
- Modify, configure, design, and test new interfaces for applications with other IT systems based on given requirements.
- Partner with leadership in Salesforce data management strategies.
- Develop detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and hardware as appropriate.
- Perform system audits to ensure system integrity.
- Conduct in-depth tests for application modifications or the implementation of new systems.
- Mentor junior developers and engineers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support and guidance to application users; Work closely with internal and external service providers as required
- Collaborate with other IT application resources (across Business Intelligence, Enterprise System, HRIS, ERP, Learning)
- Obtain familiarity with other applications to resolve cross functional dependencies
- May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

- Experience with the following Salesforce technologies:
oSales Cloud
oService Cloud
oExperience Cloud
oOmni-Channel
oMarketing Cloud/Pardot/Marketo
·Experience with developing solutions across systems via integration (API, native connections, etc.).
·Experience with CD/CI tools such as GitHub.
·Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
·Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to assist users in resolving problems and answer questions with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field, Master’s degree is a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in Salesforce Administration and/or development
- At least 2 years’ experience in a leading role delivering Salesforce projects and other technical solutions
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Experience with Higher Education and Health Sciences is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
Compensation is a reasonable estimate and will be determined using the hiring range listed above and factors including, but not limited to, skillset, level of experience, education, and physical work location, to the extent consistent with applicable law.
