Position Description
The mission of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences is the development of professional health care practitioners through innovation, individualized, and quality classroom, clinical, and distance education.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Supports the Program Director with administrative leadership for aspects of program operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
- Implement strategies to achieve goals, both locally and across the academic program that are consistent with the goals and policies of the University and professional accreditation bodies
- Collect, prepare and furnish outcome data and relevant information about the program as required by the University and professional accreditation bodies and maintain systematic evaluation
- Participate, as requested, in Program Director Council to contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Oversee and evaluate contributing faculty in areas related to the professional program
- Collaborate with program leadership to support curriculum quality, competency-based assessment, accreditation compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and program evaluation activities.
- Supervise students of the program by dealing with student issues such as complaints, appeals, and misconduct.
- Reduced teaching workload as determined by the Associate Dean / Program Director to support administrative responsibilities.
- Service and scholarly activities
- Participate in marketing activities and other activities as a representative of the University
- Other duties as assigned by the program director
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS -
Remote position. Travel is required for university meetings, accreditation activities, faculty development, commencement, residency/intensive events, and other program needs. Travel to campus or designated university locations is expected at least once per academic term.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Current unencumbered RN license and eligible for licensure in states required by the academic program.
- National APRN certification and licensure preferred.
- Earned doctoral degree in nursing, education, or related field (DNP, PhD, EdD, or equivalent).
- Minimum of three years of graduate nursing education experience required; graduate nursing program administration experience preferred.
- Experience with curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation, including competency-based education and assessment strategies in advanced nursing education.
- Experience with program evaluation, outcomes assessment, and continuous quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrated experience with state, regional, and programmatic accreditation standards and processes, including CCNE, state higher education agencies, state boards of nursing, and national APRN certification requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, facilitation, and team-building skills.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting academic, clinical, and program outcome data.
LICENSURE and/or CERTIFICATION
- Current state license (or eligible) in academic program

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.

Associate Professor rank: $88,923-$152,617
Professor rank: $97,600-$169,800
